"A Legacy Project"

For most of his professional life, Kelly Templin has worked in city government, specifically in city management. Prior to taking the position as director of the RELLIS Campus, Templin served five years as city manager of College Station.

Templin is an avid historian with a particular interest in military aviation. RELLIS sits on the grounds of the former Bryan Army Air Field and Bryan Air Force Base, so Templin has inherited a venue rich in military history.

But, there's another connection between Templin and RELLIS. His father lived on site at The Annex during his freshman year at Texas A&M in the years immediately following World War II.

Templin is proud to share family ties with RELLIS and sees the site as a part of his own personal legacy. He's also optimistic about the future or RELLIS and spoke of that optimism from the conference center of the Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Station's new Center for Infrastructure Renewal at the RELLIS campus.

Kelly Templin is the Director of the Texas A&M System’s RELLIS Campus. He previously served as the City Manager of the City of College Station, Texas and Seabrook, Texas. He has also worked for the cities of Auburn, Alabama and Oxford, Ohio. Kelly hold degrees in Architecture and Urban Planning from Texas A&M University. He is a third generation Aggie and father to three Aggies.
