“A Very Special Place of Development”

Both Bryan Army Air Field and Bryan Air Force Base were major economic drivers for the Brazos Valley region.

The RELLIS Campus has that same potential as it grows and flourishes in future years.

City of Bryan Mayor Andrew Nelson sees great potential in a locale he calls "a very special place of development."

And like many local residents, Nelson has his own history with the RELLIS Campus.

In addition to his duties as mayor of the City of Bryan, Andrew Nelson also serves as CEO and co-founder of Lisam America, an environmental, health and safety software solutions company. A member of the Aggie Class of '92, Nelson graduated from Texas A&M cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. He also studied abroad at King's College, University of London. Nelson has served on the Bryan Business Council, on the board of he Research Valley Innovation Center and as a member of the Comprehensive Plan Advisory Committee for the City of Bryan. He's active in a number of charitable and civic causes. He has lived in the Brazos Valley most of his life.
