The RELLIS Academic Alliance offers degrees and certifications from Texas A&M System universities, Blinn College and agencies such as the Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service (TEEX), the Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Station (TEES) and the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service.
Together, these universities and agencies make the RELLIS Academic Alliance one of the most dynamic and innovative destinations for 21st century learning in the state of Texas, a real "game changer."
John Barton was Associate Vice Chancellor and Executive Director of the RELLIS Campus, as well as Executive Director for the Center for Infrastructure Renewal. Barton came to The Texas A&M University System at the beginning of 2016 after spending more than 30 years with the Texas Department of Transportation, rising in the ranks there from working summers on highway construction to being the agencies deputy director. Barton is a member of the Texas A&M University Class of '80, receiving a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering. He is a recipient of the Governor Rick Perry Leadership in Transportation Award. He now lives in Colorado with his wife and grandchild.
