A Remarkable Career
Wanda Menges wasn't really looking to begin a career when she found a job with the Texas A&M Transportation Institute in 1975.
But, she certainly found one, and as her profile at the bottom of the page indicates, she's played an important role in the work of the agency.
Wanda Menges is a Research Specialist IV and has been with the Texas A&M Transportation Institute for over 40 years. Ms. Menges has contributed to the conduct, analysis and/or reporting of over 1,000 full-scale crash tests. She has been the principal investigator for many compliance-related crash test projects. In addition, she was instrumental in developing data collection methodologies for analyzing and reporting for the Central/Western Field Test and Evaluation Center, which assists state highway agencies in maintaining a high level of accuracy for their roadway friction measurement systems.
