Making History
For many who have worked at the RELLIS Campus site, the history of the place is a source of pride.
Dr. Roger Bligh began work for the Texas A&M Transportation Institute right out of college when the RELLIS venue was known as the Texas A&M Research Annex in Bryan.
Of course, before that, it was once Bryan Army Air Field and then Bryan Air Force Base, a fact not lost on Dr. Bligh.
Dr. Roger Bligh is a research engineer and manager of the Roadside Safety Program at the Texas A&M Transportation Institute and is a Regents Fellow. He holds both a Master of Science and Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University and started working at TTI in 1986. Dr. Bligh has extensive experience the design, analysis, testing, and evaluation of highway safety structures and the development of guidelines for the use, selection, and placement of these structures.
