Regardless of its mission, what's now called the RELLIS Campus has always provided important services...and gainful employment opportunities. It's economic impact, whether through research generated, products produced or wages paid, has had a sizable positive impact on the economic well-being of the local community.
What was it like to work at the Research Annex? Local historian Anne Boykin remembers her part-time job while attending Texas A&M.
An accomplished artist and calligrapher who spent 30 years in Austin, Texas, Anne Boykin returned to her home town of College Station, Texas in 2004. She quickly made her mark working for the City of College Station to create Project HOLD–an historic online library database dedicated to historic preservation efforts. In 2011, Anne joined the Texas A&M University Engineering Extension Service (TEEX) as a graphic designer and historian.
